Pruebas de Rendimiento
The following graph compares the CPU speed of AmiKit and real Amiga 4000:

The next graph shows the speed of the AmigaOS Intuition (open/close/move/size windows etc.):

Legend:
- "AmiKit/SafeMode" - AmiKit 1.3.2 using the S:Startup-Sequence.SAFEMODE where all the patches are disabled, OS3.9.
- "A4000 (CVision)" - real Amiga 4000, CPU 68060/60Mhz, CVision 8MB.
- "AmigaSYS3/WB" - AmigaSYS v3 with R3 upgrade using Workbench, OS3.9, (default config).
- "AIAB/Scalos" - Amiga In A Box r10.5 using Scalos, OS3.1, (default config).
- "AmiKit/Magellan" - AmiKit 1.3.2 using Directory Opus Magellan 5.82, OS3.9, (default config).
- "AmiKit/WB" - AmiKit 1.3.2 using Workbench, OS3.9.
All the tests were performed using the 1152x864 32bit screen mode. The only exception was A4000 where 800x600 16bit was used.
All the tests (except A4000 of course) were performed on WinUAE 1.3.2, WinXP SP2, AthlonXP2500+, 1024MB RAM, nVidia GForce 4200.
Benchmarks done with AmiGOD (© Lukas Stehlik). The particular tests were performed 5 times in a row, the highest and the lowest values were omited, the rest was averaged.
Conclusion:
-
The first graph indicates that emulated environment (using the AthlonXP2500+ CPU) is about 18 times faster than overclocked Motorola 68060 CPU used in the fastest classic Amiga computers!
-
According to the second graph, the default AmiKit configuration ("AmiKit/Magellan") is not the fastest emulated environment compared to the other alternatives like AmigaSYS or AIAB. However the "AmiKit/SafeMode" indicates that the speed can be easily increased by disabling the eye-candy add-ons.
