LONG STORY:

My life has changed over the last 20 years. Working continuously on AmiKit requires an unbelievable amount of effort and time, time that I must balance with the needs of my family & day job. Therefore, AmiKit 12 is paid. The fact is, paying for AmiKit 12 ensures that I can continue providing user support, and also facilitates ongoing development, the hallmarks of a dependable & superior product.

Putting everything together represents an enormous amount of work and resources that includes but is not limited to the following:

• A complete system re-design, including custom programs, enhanced functionality and overall integration

• Every included program has been pre-installed, pre-configured and integrated, and most include optimizations that go far beyond the default installation settings

• Extensive, fine-tuned UI enhancements

• Comprehensive testing and debugging

• Purchasing various hardware and software to achieve maximum compatibility for all users

• I also pay licensing fees for some included software and also financially support active Amiga developers and also sponsor various Amiga events in Germany, UK, USA and elsewhere.

• From time to time I initiate fundraising campaigns to help people in need (eg. in Ukraine) where 100% of the profits from AmiKit go to charity.

• Based on 20 years of AmiKit history, there are 3-5 updates annually on average.

• During their subscription period, the customers will receive all product updates at no additional charge. This includes major releases too. Be advised that they are released when completed, and are not tied to any annual or other fixed schedule.

• They include Amiga software updates, engine updates, new features and bugfixes too.

• Likewise, during their subscription period, the customers qualify for free chat support via Discord.

• When the subscription expires, AmiKit will keep working without any restrictions, of course. Just without the access to new updates and support. You can renew later, but you don't have to.

• Given AmiKit edition is licensed to one user. With this license purchase, you can install AmiKit onto all Amiga computers you personally own, but only the licensed user can use that installed AmiKit.​

• Certain protection measures (including your details) are included in the product, and will be updated as needed to ensure compliance with the terms of the license provided. This includes but it's not limited to termination of your license.
